How many frogs does it take?

Jared Lucky, 12 years old, has this to say about frogs:
"The frog is an interesting creature. It is not disgusting, gross, or slimy. In fact, frogs are truly amazing creatures and they help to make the world a better place. It is important to make sure that the environment is studied and kept safe to allow frogs to thrive." -- Frog Watch USA

Frogs are an indicator species, meaning if something is wrong with the environment, they are one of the first to show it. All around the world they are disappearing!

Check out Frog Watch USA and see how you can help.

Here's an image by Enrico Cerica, from the BlenderArtists.org forums. Blender is a freely available 3D computer graphics program, and you can create some amazing things with it!

The next one is from the great web site, the Astronomy Picture of the Day. It is another computer generated image, but this time using real photos. This is what a total lunar eclipse would look like from the moon!
