Rainsticks: History & How To
Last Monday we began the spring session of the Hilltown Families Outdoor Adventure Program by making rainsticks. To follow-up with our activity, I’ve put together a few on-line resources for parents and kids to learn more about the history and “how to” on making rainsticks in the left-hand column under “Links We Recommend.” I’ve also posted a series of instructional videos parents might find useful in preparing to make rainsticks with their children. http://hilltownfamilies.wordpress.com/2008/04/14/rainsticks/

The Daily Guru on my b-day
Being the first sign, an Aries beginner, this makes sense.
Open to awareness
"Mindfulness means moment-to-moment, non-judgmental awareness. It is cultivated by refining our capacity to pay attention, intentionally, in the present moment, and then sustaining that attention over time as best we can. In the process, we become more in touch with our life as it is unfolding."
-- Myla & Jon Kabat-Zinn
From the Daily Guru, love it!!!
